“Julie Leads ‘Halla Bol’ Protest in Alwar, Says BJP’s Street Demonstrations Against Congress Are Ridiculous”

Julie Leads Congress Protest in Alwar, Targets BJP Over Paper Leak Issue
Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly, Tikaram Julie, led a Congress protest in Alwar and launched a sharp attack on both the BJP-led Central and Rajasthan governments. He said the Congress was raising the voice of students, while the BJP was staging street protests against the opposition instead of addressing public concerns.
Leading the demonstration in Malakhera under the Alwar Rural Assembly constituency, Julie urged the BJP government to set aside its “arrogance” and listen seriously to the concerns of students across the country and the state. He alleged that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had repeatedly claimed in public meetings that there had been no paper leaks under his government, but recent developments told a different story. According to Julie, the names of Sikar and other places surfacing in the latest paper leak case were a matter of serious concern.
Julie Questions Delay in FIR
During the protest, Congress workers and students raised slogans such as “Education Minister Resign,” “Take Action Against the Paper Leak Mafia,” and “Stop Playing With Students’ Future.”
Julie alleged that the NEET-2026 examination paper was leaked in Rajasthan, but the state government failed to register an FIR for nine days. He further claimed that investigations had revealed NEET papers had been leaking continuously for the past three years and that around 90 examination papers had been leaked over the last 12 years.
‘BJP Has Forgotten It Is in Power’
Taking a swipe at the BJP’s foot march towards the Rajasthan Congress headquarters in Jaipur on Wednesday (July 22), Julie said the ruling party appeared to have forgotten that it was in power, not in the opposition.
He described the BJP’s decision to protest against the oppositionтАФwhile the Congress was supporting students and raising what it called legitimate demandsтАФas “highly condemnable and laughable.” According to Julie, the responsibility of a ruling government is to resolve the problems faced by students and the public, not to organize protests against the opposition.
